Hutchings O’Brien Pty Ltd has submitted a development application to Gladstone Regional Council for a new Total Tools store in Gladstone Central.
The new mega hardware store is proposed for a prime spot in the city centre on the corner of Hanson Road and Yarroon Street.
It would be located next to the United service station and McDonalds.
The 4,358 sqm site would have a 9.5m tall building and space for 34 car parks.
The proposal is for Total Tools to be open from 6am to 9pm, seven days a week.
The new Gladstone store would be the second Total Tools in Central Queensland, saving locals from a drive to Rockhampton.
Total Tools was contacted but did not respond in time for publication.
