Four people were taken to hospital after a two-vehicle smash at a Boyne Island intersection on Saturday night.

Emergency services crews were called to the crash at Malpas Street and Wyndham Avenue at 7.27pm.

Queensland Ambulance Service said a woman in her 70s was taken to Gladstone Hospital in a stable condition with leg and arm injuries, and back pain.

Three teenagers sustained seatbelt injuries and they were taken to hospital, all in stable conditions.

Also on Saturday, about 7.19pm, the RACQ CapRescue chopper was called to the Clarke Creek Wind Farm, near Marlborough, where a man in his 30s suffered a suspected dislocated/fractured ankle.

“Initially, Rescue 300 was tasked to the Marlborough township to meet with Queensland Ambulance Service,” a CapRescue spokesperson said.

“Unfortunately, there were some difficulties moving the patient by road to Marlborough, so Rescue 300 picked up the flight paramedic from Marlborough and diverted to the Clarke Creek Wind Farm.”

The injured man was initially treated on scene by the site medical staff and QAS paramedics.

“Upon arrival, the on-board flight medical team provided further assistance and relocated the joint back into place,” a CapRescue spokesperson said.

The man was then flown to Rockhampton Hospital in a stable condition for further treatment.
