Teenage driver fined for careless driving after West Gladstone crash

Two teenagers were taken to hospital after their vehicle collided with multiple parked cars in West Gladstone on Sunday night.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Dudley Street and Rossella Street at 7.16pm after reports of a single-vehicle crash.

A Queensland Police Service spokesman said a 17-year-old was driving a Toyota HiLux and had crashed into a parked Toyota Kluger and a second SUV vehicle.

The driver was issued a traffic infringement for careless driving and was fined $533 and lost three demerit points, a QPS spokesman said.

He said the driver was not under the influence and the vehicle was not stolen.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said a boy and girl, both aged 17 were taken to Gladstone Hospital in stable conditions.
