Agnes Water could be home to a new dive school in the future with plans for a new facility being recently lodged with Gladstone Regional Council.
The academy would be located at 4 Jeffrey Court in Agnes Water and is proposed by Inholoex Investments Pty Ltd.
Development plans state the facility will include a shop for dining products and tour bookings.
The facility will also have a training tank for courses, storage spaces for dive equipment and a breakout area for outdoor training and relaxation.
An existing house on the block will be modified so the ground floor can be used as part of the dive school and the remaining area to be caretaker accommodation.
It is in a prime residential location within walking distance to Tom Jeffrey Park and one of the town’s most popular beaches.
Artists impressions show a proposed mural on the side wall of the retail space.
It will also have six public car parks, bus storage, a bike rack and access via an existing driveway.
