Future senior students of Redeemer Lutheran College Biloela are in line to potentially receive new classrooms after Milford Planning Pty Ltd and their client, the Lutheran Church of Australia Queensland District, presented a development plan to the Banana Shire Council for consideration.
The submitted report seeks to attain a development permit for a material change of use to transform an educational establishment of a double classroom building on the lot of land located at 2 Collard Street.
In recent years the school has rapidly expanded and now needs to adequately cater for growth in middle and senior grade students.
With the approval of this project from council, Redeemer Lutheran College will be able to provide a dedicated learning space for grade 12 classes while eliminating the need to share learning spaces with other year levels and granting senior students with an appropriate academic environment to prepare for graduation.
In a pre-lodgement meeting which took place on February 14, 2022 the council was considered to be primarily supportive of the proposed plans and so far there are no public objections to the project.
The application is still in the decision stage however the council is due to put forward a conclusive verdict by August 4.
