A man suffered significant injuries after his ute left the road near Turkey Beach around 6am on Monday.
The RACQ CapRescue helicopter was used after a call for assistance was received from emergency services at the scene.
Upon arrival, crew members observed the ute had rolled into a ditch and the driver was significantly injured.
Due to the location of the incident, the RACQ CapRescue helicopter landed at a site nearby where the patient was taken by road ambulance to meet the aircraft and medical crew.
Suffering suspected internal and rib injuries, the patient was treated by the on-board critical care paramedic and doctor.
He was then loaded into the aircraft and transported to Rockhampton Base Hospital in a stable condition.
