Shaun Francis Zimmerlie, 28, pleaded guilty to two drug related offences in the Gladstone Magistrates Court

When police arrived at the Gladstone man’s door, he led them straight to a fridge where he was stashing his drug paraphernalia.

A Gladstone father made full admissions to drug and utensil possession once the police knocked on his door, a court heard.

Shaun Francis Zimmerlie, 28, pleaded guilty to possessing utensils or pipes that had been used and possessing property suspected of having been used in connection with the commission of a drug offence.

On July 8, around 11.05am, police executed a search warrant on Zimmerlie’s Windward Passage address.

Zimmerlie declared he had a bong in the garage and went to a fridge which was being used to store items.

It was there police saw a used glass water pipe on a shelf which had been used to smoke cannabis along with two cone pieces which contained cannabis residue.

Also in the fridge was an electric grinder which also had remnants of cannabis in it.

Zimmerlie made full admissions to using the items to smoke cannabis and could not provide any lawful reason for doing so.

He was issued a notice to appear in the Gladstone Magistrates Court.

Magistrate Bevan Manthey convicted and fined Zimmerlie $400. Convictions were recorded.
