Rescue helicopter tasked to serious Bruce Highway crash at Colosseum

A man has been flown to hospital in a rescue helicopter following a single-vehicle rollover on the Bruce Highway in Central Queensland. UPDATES.

A rescue helicopter has flown a man to hospital following a single-vehicle rollover on the Bruce Highway in Central Queensland.

Emergency services responded to the crash at Colosseum in the Gladstone region just after 2pm on Wednesday.

A Queensland Fire Department spokeswoman said the northbound lane of the highway was partially closed.

She said no one was trapped inside the vehicle.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said paramedics were assessing one man for a head injury and significant arm injury.

She said a rescue helicopter had been tasked to attend the crash.

The man was flown to Rockhampton Hospital in a stable condition.
