A man in his 40s has been flown from a freight liner in Gladstone Harbour after he began experiencing severe abdominal pain.
The eye-opening footage shows the CapRescue helicopter hovering high in the air around the carrier boat on January 24 after 9am.
Due to the constraints of the vessel, landing was not possible.
As a result, the Rescue Crew Officer and Critical Care Paramedic quickly winched down to the patient aboard the vessel to check his condition and stabilise him, a Cap Rescue statement said.
In order to achieve this, a hover exit was carried out by the Rescue3o0 helicopter.
The man was winched to the helicopter on a stretcher.
Once aboard, the man was taken straight to Gladstone Hospital for further medical treatment.
The man was discharged from hospital at 4pm on January 24.
