A Gladstone woman who previously wept in court after being charged with drug offences was back before a court on Tuesday.
Kaylah Maree Schurmann, 29, pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on Monday to one count of possessing utensils or pipes for use.
On July 10, around 5am, police executed a search warrant on a Ballantine Street unit in relation to dangerous drugs where they found Schurmann asleep on a loungeroom couch.
She was issued her rights and cautions and given the opportunity to declare anything illegal to police.
Schurmann stated she was in possession of a glass smoking pipe and surrendered the item to police.
When questioned about the pipe, she stated it was used to smoke methamphetamine, but was hoping to kick the habit.
She was issued a notice to appear in the Gladstone Magistrates Court.
Magistrate Bevan Manthey convicted and fined Schurmann $200. A conviction was recorded.
