A Gladstone teacher aide has faced court after she made threats to kill her partner.

The woman, who by law cannot be named, pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on May 2 to contravening a domestic violence order.

Police prosecutor Sergeant Tanya Griffiths said on March 15, the male aggrieved went to a police station to report the woman had been sending him abusive text messages.

Sgt Griffiths said the text messages read: “I’m going to f---ing kill you c--- you’re dead, you dirty c---. You f---ing c--- I’m going to end you.”

The court heard that when police questioned the woman, she made full admissions to sending the man the abusive messages.

The prosecution said the threats to kill were concerning.

The court was told the woman had no criminal history.

Solicitor Rio Ramos said the couple was “still seeing each other” and there were cross-orders in place.

Ms Ramos said the woman, who worked as a teacher aide at a Gladstone school, had got upset and sent the text messages after the man “trashed her house.”

“Following that Your Honour, they still see each other,” Ms Ramos said.

“She’s currently unsure about the relationship.”

Acting Magistrate Mary Buchanan fined the woman $700 and no conviction was recorded.
