Police are investigating after a man was found dead and another man and woman were injured at a home in Gladstone on Sunday afternoon.

Emergency services were called to the home on Blaxland Court, Glen Eden, just before 1pm for a welfare check.

The body of the deceased 24-year-old man was found at the scene, as well as another man and woman who were injured.

A crime scene was declared and Gladstone detectives are investigating.

Police and forensics were on site about midday Monday entering the property and taking pictures.

The 50-year-old woman and 20-year-old man are recovering in hospital from their injuries.

According to police, it is believed the relationship between the persons is a mother and her two sons.

Some neighbours were shocked to discover a crime scene had been established in their street on Monday morning after returning from an Easter weekend away.

One neighbour, who was home over the weekend, said they heard loud noises coming from the property late Saturday night.

A Queensland Police Services spokesman said the man and woman would be interviewed by police in relation to the matter.

Police are not looking for anyone else in connection to the incident at this stage of the investigation.

The property was closed off with police tape around the crime scene, but the quiet street remained open to residents and neighbours.
