Gladstone crime wrap: Wilful exposure, drugs, stealing alleged
A man who allegedly walked around naked in a Central Qld street while screaming has been hit with charges after police say they found him in a residential backyard.
Gladstone police have revealed details of alleged offenders charged this month – from a man who allegedly walked around naked in a street while screaming, to an alleged hoon accused of shredding his tyres, causing his vehicle to catch fire.

Wilful exposure, Gladstone Central
A 40-year-old New Auckland man was charged following investigations into a call for service at South Gladstone on November 19.
Police allege that about 11.45pm, they were called to Mallard St in relation to a naked man walking around in the street screaming.
It will be further alleged police located the man in the backyard of an address on Mallard St.
He was charged with one count each of wilful exposure and trespass.
He is due to appear in Gladstone Magistrates Court on December 9.
Dangerous operation of a vehicle, Clinton
An 18-year-old Clinton man was charged following investigations into the alleged dangerous operation of a vehicle in Clinton on November 7.
Police allege that about 11.45pm, the man drove along Aerodrome Rd in a white Holden Colorado, shredding the two rear tyres, causing the tyres and the vehicle to catch fire.
Police found the vehicle a short time later.
The man was charged with one count of dangerous operation of a vehicle.
He is due to appear in Gladstone Magistrates Court on December 16.
The vehicle was immobilised for 90 days.
Wilful damage, West Gladstone
A 43-year-old Barney Point man was charged after investigations into an alleged disturbance at West Gladstone on November 25.
Police allege that about 7.35am, the man attended a business on Far St yelling out in the street before throwing a speaker through a front glass door causing it to smash.
Police allegedly found the man nearby where he was arrested.
He was charged with one count each of wilful damage, trespass and commit public nuisance.
He is due to appear in Gladstone Magistrates Court on December 16.
Wilful damage, Kirkwood
An 18-year-old New Auckland man was charged after investigations into an alleged wilful damage offence in Kirkwood on November 16.
Police allege that about 7.30pm, the man attended a business on Kirkwood Rd and used a shopping trolley to damage a glass sliding door.
He was charged with one count of wilful damage and is due to appear in Gladstone Magistrates Court on December 2.
Evade police, Kin Kora
A 33-year-old Clinton man was charged following an alleged evasion offence in Kin Kora on November 20.
Police will allege that about 4.50pm they were patrolling along Dawson Highway when they attempted to intercept a green Kawasaki Ninja motorbike, which took off at speed.
Police allegedly found the vehicle and the man at an address in Clinton.
He was charged with one count of evade police.
The vehicle was immobilised for 90 days.
The man is due to appear in Gladstone Magistrates Court on December 16.
Evade police, West Gladstone
A 23-year-old New Auckland man was charged following investigations into an alleged evasion offence in West Gladstone on November 14.
Police allege that about 8.15pm they were patrolling along Boles St when they attempted to intercept a green Kawasaki Ninja motorbike which took off at speed.
Police allegedly found the vehicle and the man at an address in New Auckland.
He was charged with one count of evade police, one count of drive while disqualified and one count of drive unregistered vehicle.
The vehicle was impounded.
He is due to appear in Gladstone Magistrates Court on December 2.
Possess dangerous drugs, Clinton
A 37-year-old South Gladstone man was charged after a call for service at an address in Clinton.
Police say they attended a business on Dawson Highway, where they found the man and arrested him in relation to another matter.
Police conducted a search and allegedly found a number of clip-seal bags containing methamphetamine, cannabis, cocaine and buprenorphine.
Police also allegedly found pipe fittings from the business in the man’s underwear.
He was charged with four counts of possessing dangerous drugs and one count of attempted stealing.
He is due to appear in Gladstone Magistrates Court on December 2.
Stealing, South Gladstone
A 30-year-old Granville woman was charged following investigations into an alleged stealing offence in South Gladstone on November 12.
Police allege that about 3am, the woman attended a business on Toolooa St before stealing a mobile phone belonging to the business.
It will be further alleged that forensic evidence later identified the same woman as having entered a property illegally through a window on Anakie St, Emerald on November 4.
The woman was charged with one count each of stealing and enter dwelling with intent by break at night in company.
She is due to appear in Gladstone Magistrates Court on December 2.
