Firefighters called to investigate ‘electrical smell’ at Toolooa St centre

A child care centre in Gladstone has been evacuated with firefighters called. Emergency services have confirmed no one has been injured and everyone accounted for.

A Gladstone child care centre has been evacuated after an electrical smell was detected coming from the kitchen.

Emergency services were called to the centre in Toolooa Street in South Gladstone about 10.30am.

A Queensland Police Service spokesman said the centre had been evacuated, and everyone was out and accounted for.

A Queensland Fire Department spokesman said two crews were on scene.
