A Gladstone man will have to fight for his freedom in the District Court after breaching a suspended sentence.
Christopher John Lewis pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on Tuesday to possessing utensils or pipes that had been used.
On June 29, around 12.30am, Lewis was at the BP Service Station in Clinton with a friend when he was stopped by police.
Lewis was detained after a conversation with police and was searched in relation to dangerous drugs.
Before the search, Lewis declared he had a glass pipe that was used for smoking methamphetamine and proceeded to pull the glass pipe from the pocket of his pants.
When questioned, Lewis made full admissions to possessing the pipe and using it to smoke meth two or three days prior.
He was issued a notice to appear in the Gladstone Magistrates Court.
Magistrate Bevan Manthey convicted and fined Lewis $300 and recommitted him to face a breach hearing in the Gladstone District Court at a later date. A conviction was recorded.
