Police car involved in serious crash on Dawson Hwy, Gladstone
Two senior police officers have had a lucky escape after their car flipped outside Central Queensland shopping centre where multiple emergency crews are on scene and traffic is being diverted. UPDATES.

A police car has been involved in a serious crash at Gladstone on Saturday.
The marked Queensland Police Service sedan rolled and can be seen on its side on the Dawson Hwy at the intersection leading to the Gladstone Coles, outside McDonald’s.
A Queensland Police Service Spokesperson said police were involved in a job at the Stockland Shopping Centre on the intersection of Phillip St and the Dawson Highway about 1.40pm.
They said a police car travelling to the scene collided with another car and rolled near the lights.
“Both the Sergeant and Senior Sergeant in the vehicle were uninjured and the person involved in the other vehicle was taken to Gladstone Hospital in a stable condition,” they said
Police remain on scene controlling traffic.
Investigations into the cause of the crash are continuing.
