1/ Why do you love CQ?
It is my home, and it has been my home for over 40 years.
I was educated here, I married Paula here and we had six children here.
My friends are here, my life is here.
I love the lifestyle, the weather, the natural beauty, the opportunities and the people.
The people have helped shape my life, rewarding my loyalty to them with opportunities to lead a number of sporting and community organisations.
2/ What's your vision for the future of our region?
My vision is that Gladstone will regain its mojo around being the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef, that Agnes/1770 will become the 'Port Douglas' of Capricornia and that Hummock Hill will help even out some of the economic ups and downs as they occur in Gladstone.
I imagine the next few years as being tough financially for the region (and Australia) and I imagine I will be working to protect existing jobs and create new ones.
Hard work, innovative thinking and promotion.
