LETTER TO THE EDITOR:
As the CEO of Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia (PCFA), every day I talk with men who have been given another chance at life thanks to research, improved treatments, and specialist nursing care provided by PCFA nurses.
But prostate cancer still remains a major cancer killer of Australian men, with more than 3000 deaths per year.
When I think about my family, and yours, I feel inspired to help.
That’s why I have signed-up for PCFA’s online event The Long Run, where I’ll be running, walking or wheeling 72 kilometres during September for Prostate Cancer Awareness Month.
Along the way I’ll be raising awareness and funds to protect our families against the pain of prostate cancer.
If any of your generous and committed readers would like to join me in my Long Run adventure, I would be delighted if they could register today at thelongrun.org.au.
We can save the lives of many men in your local community if we join together for The Long Run.

CEO, Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia.
