Les Frost celebrated for 40 years of VMR volunteer work

A retired Gladstone man has been awarded a life membership after he spent more than 4o years volunteering.

A retired Gladstone man has been awarded a life membership after he spent more than 4o years volunteering at VMR Gladstone.

Les Frost was awarded the membership in recognition for his due diligence, reliability and availability of rostered duties as a radio operator at a recent committee meeting.

President Jeff Caldwell awarded Mr Frost, who retired from VMR Gladstone recently, the life membership and a badge for his 42 years of service to the group.

Following the presentation, Mr Frost made a considerable donation to VMR Gladstone for new equipment.

“We cannot thank Les enough for his work as a volunteer over such a long period of time and also thanks to his family for supporting his volunteer efforts,” a VMR Gladstone spokesman said.
