House on Stoneybrook Drive Glen Eden declared crime scene after fire

A house in Glen Eden has been declared a crime scene until the cause of a house fire can be determined. Here’s what we know.

A Glen Eden property has been declared a crime scene after emergency crews were called to a house fire, with authorities now working to determine the cause.

Emergency crews including QFES, QPS and QAS were called to the property on Stoneybrook Drive just after 7am.

A QFES spokesman said when crews arrived about 7.15am smoke could be seen coming from the structure.

He said there was a small fire in the lounge room of the property which had been contained 10 minutes after fireys arrived.

The spokesman said no one appeared to be home at the time and all people were accounted for.

QAS treated one person at the scene for smoke inhalation.

Police say they are treating the fire as suspicious and are looking for at least one person in relation to the incident.
