Gladstone local Heer Pathrishi on Miss World stage for Australian finals

From juggling university studies and charity work to rigorous training, Gladstone model Heer Pathrishi has shared what it takes to become a finalist in the 2023 Miss World Australia pageant.

Heer Pathrishi will shine on the Miss World stage.

Heer Pathrishi, Gladstone’s own rising superstar, will be shining on stage at the Miss World Australia national finals on the Gold Coast next month.

Since her Miss World journey began last year as a high school senior, Miss Heer now studies IT at CQUniversity and said her experience so far has been a catalyst for personal growth.

“Throughout this journey, I have discovered a profound strength within myself — I am determined in pursuing my aspirations, doing everything within my ability to achieve them,” she said

“This new-found confidence has been transformative, igniting a belief in myself that knows no bounds. “Through hard work and dedication, I have proven to myself that I can achieve greatness.”

Heer will participate in the prestigious pageant on the Gold Coast next month.

Despite a huge workload with study, work, modelling and pageantry combined, Miss Heer said she was committed to her journey and excited to see where it would lead.

“Amid it all, I find genuine joy and fulfilment, knowing I'm living my dreams to the fullest.”

In the lead up to nationals, she will have to go through a stringent process of fundraising and charity work, preparation of a talent, a sports challenge, one-on-one interviews with judges, an international model challenge, and a question-and-answer section.

“I’ve been busy preparing myself to compete in all the categories, and have recently taken up dance again, but a completely different style that I have never learnt before, which will form part of my talent.”

Heer Pathrishi now has a contract with Vivien’s Models.

Heer said that despite all of the challenges and new experiences, the most exciting part of the journey had been making her younger self and her family proud.

“The most exciting part of this journey is that I'm doing everything my childhood self used to dream about.

“It fills my heart with joy to see my parents proud of me, and also to know that my voice is being heard and is inspiring other young women to believe in themselves too. I’m excited to be making a difference.
