From the Editor's Desk: Bringing Dundee to Gladstone
Read the latest from the Editor's Desk at The Observer.
Dear Valued Subscriber,
The big news this week has been some much-needed rain.
Just as things were beginning to dry out just a bit too much, the skies opened up for us.
We've been having a bit of fun this week with Newscorp's #bringbackdundee campaign.
If they're going to do it, why not do it here?
Maybe they won't listen to us, but at least it gives us a good opportunity to spread the word about what we have to offer here.
And you just never know, because Gladstone region has more than you might think to offer as a film set for Crocodile Dundee 4.
#bringbackdundee and bring him here
You've probably seen all the discussion around the Super Bowl promo of a new Crocodile Dundee movie.
While it was a tourism promo for Australia, we think it's a great idea - and have even launched a petition for Aussies to support a return of Dundee to the big screen.
You can support it here - and test your knowledge of Dundee trivia here.
DARE series
For those looking for something a little more steamy, romance publishing powerhouse Mills & Boon has launched a new line of novels for a 2018 audience - featuring empowered women, modern storylines and extremely descriptive sex scenes.
To celebrate the launch of the appropriately named DARE series and our search for a Summer Romance Writer competition, and as a special gift for subscribers, we are proud to present a day-by-day serialised release of one of the first DARE books: Off Limits, by popular author Clare Connelly.
Read more on our DARE series here.
