Federal Election 2022: LNP Flynn MP Colin Boyce sworn in by Australian Electoral Commission in Gladstone
Local LNP member, Colin Boyce, has been given the go ahead to commence his first week representing Flynn after the AEC officially welcomed his arrival to parliament on Friday.

Opposing LNP member Colin Boyce has officially stepped into his position as the newly elected MP for the federal Flynn electorate.
The Australian Electoral Commission has welcomed Mr Boyce into parliament for the next three years.
Mr Boyce is entering an impressive political milestone after representing within both local and state governments.
“It’s a great honour to be declared the official federal member for Flynn. I am here to represent everybody,” Mr Boyce said.
After previously resigning from his position as the Member for Callide prior to the election Mr Boyce is eager to, “defend the people of Flynn and shape new opportunities”.
“As an opposing member it is my job to hold the government accountable,” Mr Boyce said.
“We will see the Albanese Government form new legislation and make decisions. It is up to me to ensure these changes are in the best interest of the entirety of Australia.”
