Central Queensland University students have just graduated in style, and in the largest ceremony the university has ever held in Gladstone.
About 69 students received their degrees at the Gladstone Entertainment and Convention Centre, in the fifth ceremony to be held so far at the end of this semester.
Associate Vice-President for Gladstone and Wide Bay/Burnett Luke Sinclair said it was exciting to see a new generation of graduates get into the community and thrive.
“Almost 70 students walking across the stage which is fantastic for the community,” he said.
But Covid has delayed a few students with their degrees.
“But by and large, people have really chipped in and showed signs of success now,” Mr Sinclair said.
“It’s an opportunity for people to come back to the region they’re studying.”
