Gladstone Regional Council mayor, Matt Burnett, passed on the well wishes of the community and said Mr Trevor was hopeful of returning to civic duties on Tuesday, November 1.
“On his behalf, he has requested me to thank everyone for their concern and well wishes,” Mayor Burnett said.
“On behalf of my fellow Councillors, Council staff, and the Gladstone Region community, I’d like to wish Chris a speedy and successful recovery.”
Mr Trevor was first elected to Council back in 2004 before returning in 2016.
