A bushwalker has been rescued after he became lost while hiking on a Central Queensland mountain track.

A bushwalker has been rescued after he became lost while hiking on the Mount Larcom track, northwest from Gladstone.
According to RACQ CapRescue, the man in his 60s had been hiking on the track throughout the day on Saturday when he became lost.
The rescue helicopter left at 8.30pm to assist Queensland Police Service.
The rescue helicopter was able to find the missing bushwalker using night vision goggles.
The man was winched from a location close to the Mount Larcom summit.
He was flown to Gladstone Hospital for further observation.
