UPDATE: Both lanes of east bound traffic on the Warrego Hwy are now running smoothly and open to all traffic.
EARLIER: Police are currently on scene of a traffic accident on the Warrego Highway, about 1km east Plainland.
Constable Peter O'Donnell said the car was travelling from Toowoomba to Ipswich when it took out a light pole and guard rail before rolling over into the median strip.
Two men were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Const O'Donnell said the driver told police he wasn't sure if he had a micro sleep, but remembered travelling along the highway before realising he was headed towards the guardrail.
He said the driver told police he swerved to miss the rail but overcorrected.
Traffic is congested, but is moving slowly past the scene in one lane.
Drivers are urged to proceed with caution and allow emergency crews space.
