UNIVERSITY of Queensland School of Agriculture and Food Sciences researchers have demonstrated how drones can improve farming techniques to students from Tsinghua University, China, today.
The group toured the UQ Gatton campus where sessions focused on technology trends in farming and agribusiness, including drone technology.
Associate Professor Kim Bryceson presented the technology to the 23 Tsinghua students as part of their four day visit to the Brisbane and Lockyer Valley region.
Despite the wet weather, some of the Tsinghua doctorate in business administration students were able to receive hands on experience and take the drones for a fly at the UQ Gatton campus.
The visit to UQ Gatton campus was part of a UQ Business School Executive Education Global Immersion Program.
