Lockyer residents have reported suspicious activity to police where vehicles have attended homes in the middle of the night.

Suspicious activity, in particular vehicles attending addresses in the middle of the night, have been reported to Gatton police.
These incidents have not been linked to any stealing offences, but police have revealed some of the vehicles have false plates attached and are linked to other property offences.

Scammers target Lockyer’s elderly
An increase in the number of scams in the Laidley region has prompted a police alert to locals.
Officer-in-charge senior sergeant Regan Draheim said scammers appeared to be targeting older community members making contact via email or sms, asking them to buy gift cards.
He said scammers were also asking Lockyer locals to send details for charity groups or secure a transfer of funds to their account.
Any suspicious emails or messages should be deleted and reported to the government’s cyber team via www.cyber.gov.au/report
Three charged with drug offences
A 20-year-old woman from Loganlea was charged with possession of cannabis during the week.
She was given a notice to appear and will appear in the Gatton magistrates Court on July 19.
A 48-year-old woman and a 17-year-old male from Regency Downs were charged with possession of cannabis and other drugs including methyl amphetamines as well as possession of a pipe and other drug related items.
Both will appear in Court at Gatton on July 19.
A 28-year-old man from Laidley North has been charged with possession of cannabis and drug related items and will appear in Gatton Magistrates Court on July 5.
Multiple traffic offences recorded
A 49-year-old woman from Plainland was issued an infringement notice for driving an unregistered motor vehicle.
A 27-year-old man from Lowood was issued with an infringement notice for obstructing traffic flow.
A 30-year-old woman from Laidley Heights was issued a traffic infringement notice for exceeding the speed limit (75 km/h in a 60 km/h zone).
A 21-year-old man from Laidley was issued with infringement notices for speeding (85 km/h in a 60 km/h zone) and driving without a licence.
