Lockyer Valley crashes on Warrego Highway lead to Toowoomba Hospital transports by Qld Ambulance Service

10 people have been assessed by paramedics following two crashes in the Lockyer Valley within minutes of each other.

Two crashes on the Warrego Highway within metres of each other have caused chaos in the Lockyer Valley on Monday morning, which saw 10 patients assessed and multiple people taken to hospital.

Paramedics were called out to the first incident involving three vehicles along the highway at Grantham just before 6.30am, with one car driving into an embankment.

Eight patients were assessed, with one woman taken to Toowoomba Hospital with suspected spinal injuries.

A second crash involving two vehicles was reported to authorities down the road just 20 minutes later.

Two people were checked by paramedics, with a man also taken to hospital with chest pains.
