Exact Radiology will open a new practice at Plainland Plaza

Local staff have been employed for the new clinic, which is expected to open next week.

Imaging specialists Exact Radiology is expanding operations in the Lockyer Valley, next week opening its second clinic at Plainland Plaza.

The new clinic will cater to the expanding Laidley, Hatton Vale and Plainland community and cut commute times to Gatton.

Exact Radiology HR manager Cari Clarke said the radiology specialist was dedicated to ensuring regional and rural communities have access to diagnostic imaging.

“Our new clinic will support the local community, especially the elderly and sick that won’t have to travel to Ipswich or Gatton.”

While the new clinic won’t be as large as the Gatton clinic, it will still offer walk-in x-ray appointments.

Procedures available also include general CT scans and ultrasounds.

“We’ve got a wonderful team of radiographers, sonographers and administrators,” she said.

“We have taken on as many local employees as we could.”

The store is located at shop 12, Plainland Plaza and is expected to open on Tuesday, August 10, pending coronavirus restrictions.
