Esk and Toogoolawah police have attended a fatal and charged multiple drivers for a string of road offences in the past week.
Here’s what has been keeping officers busy.
Traffic offences
A 34-year-old male from Kitoba was issued an Infringement notice on the Brisbane Valley Hwy Braemore for driving an unregistered vehicle.
At 46-year-old female from Braemore was issued a notice to appear for a drink driving offence at Winya.
A 32-year-old Coominya man was issued a Notice to Appear for unlicensed driving as a result of being intercepted by Esk Police for a Licence check.
The man’s vehicle was immobilised for seven days being a type 2 traffic offence.
A 28-year-old Annerley man was intercepted in Esk and his vehicle searched for dangerous drugs.
As a result the man was issued a notice to appear for possession of a dangerous drug.
Fatal traffic crash
Esk Police were called to a traffic crash in the early hours on June 17.
As a result of investigations, a 19-year-old man tragically lost his life in the single vehicle traffic crash.
Esk Police would like to thank the emergency services that attended and the Esk Community for their support.
Search warrants executed
Esk Police executed a warrant at an address in Esk and as a result a 20-year-old Esk man was found to be in Possession of a Dangerous Drug and a Drug Utensil.
The man was offered drug diversion and accepted.
A 50-year-old Esk man was also found in possession of a Drug Utensil and subsequently drug diverted.
In a separate case, Esk police executed a warrant at an address in Toogoolawah and as a two 18-year-old men from Toogoolawah were found in possession of a Dangerous Drug and Drug Utensils.
Both men were offered and accepted drug diversion.
Breach of domestic violence order
Esk police were called to a domestic violence situation in Somerset Dam and as a result an 88-year-old man was issued a Notice to Appear for Contravention of a Domestic Violence Order.
