South East QLD hit by flash flooding after downpour

A SEVERE storm which dumped up to 300mm of rain across southeast Queensland overnight has caused widespread flooding with major roads including the M1 closed for hours..

The M1 has reopened just before midday after being cut by floodwaters since 6am.

- Helensvale - Pacific Motorway has REOPENED both directions

- Pimpama - Pacific Motorway on-ramp towards Coomera

- Mudgeeraba - Somerset Drive

- Mudgeeraba - Berrigans Road

- Coombabah - Gold Coast Highway

- Cowley - Cowley Creek Road, a bridge or culvert is damaged

- Bulloo Downs - Tickalara Road and Wompah Gate Road

- Durham - Old Kamona Access

- Eurombah - Roma Taroom Road

- Eulo/Yowah - Eulo Toompine Road

- Hungerford - New Hamilton Gate Road

- Cameron Corner/Nockatunga - Warry Gate Road

- Kinnoul - Injune Road

- Dynevor - Hungerford Road

- Bonogin - Bonogin Road to Glenmore Drive. Both lanes blocked.

- Southport - Baratta Street near Wandoo Street. Both lanes blocked.

- Coombabah - Gold Coast Highway, Country Club Drive to Marble Arch Place. Both lanes affected.

- Parkinson - Mt Lindsey Highway, left lane northbound after Johnson Road at Browns Plains

- Mount Edwards/Tregony - Cunnigham Highway. REOPENED at midday
