As catastrophic fire conditions continue across the state, Queensland Fire and Emergency Services have told a number of communities to get ready to evacuate. SEE THE FULL LIST OF AREAS UNDER THREAT

NINE homes have been lost and 100,000ha of land razed in the Queensland as a result of dozens of bushfires,

The fire warning is this morning sitting at a severe grade, however, it was expected to rise to extreme in parts of the state later today.

“The elevated fire conditions will impact us this afternoon, and then definitely by Wednesday we’re going to see the height, or the peak, of the fire dangers in the state,” Queensland Fire and Emergency Services Acting Inspector Joel Gordon said.

“Once we get into daylight hours (today), we’re going to see the severe conditions that are impacting down south start to make their way up the NSW coast and into Queensland and inland.”

Although the fires are escalating, official advice from emergency services remains the same – follow your Fire Survival Plan and ensure preparations are in place to keep pets and livestock safe.

The declared state of fire emergency has seen firefighters, including two strike teams from New Zealand and other resources from Tasmania, working around the clock.

PREPARE TO LEAVE: Rosevale (southwest of Ipswich)bushfire as at 7.30pm, Tuesday November 12

Bushfire warning level: WATCH AND ACT

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) advises there is a bushfire in Rosevale and conditions could get worse.

You need to be ready to follow your bushfire survival plan. If you do not have a plan, or intend to leave, you should be ready to leave the area because the situation could get worse quickly.

Currently as at 4.30pm on Tuesday, November 12, a large fire is travelling in a north, north easterly direction towards Baker Road, Kerwitz Road and Kelly and Dwyer Road, Rosevale. Properties are not under direct threat at this time, however this could change quickly and residents should be ready to leave the area.

PREPARE TO LEAVE: Mount Alphen and Double Top (part of Clumber fire)bushfire as at 11.50am, Tuesday November 12.

Bushfire warning level: WATCH AND ACT

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) advises there is a bushfire in Mount Alphen and Double Top and conditions could get worse.

You need to be ready to follow your bushfire survival plan. If you do not have a plan, or intend to leave, you should be ready to leave the area because the situation could get worse quickly.

Currently as at 11.50am Tuesday 12 November, an unpredictable bushfire is continuing to burn north of Spicers Gap Road, near Spicers Peak on inaccessible and difficult land.

The bushfire is continuing to travel in a north, north-easterly direction towards Mount Mathieson and the Cunningham Highway. The fire is likely to have an impact on the Cunningham Highway.

Firefighters are working to contain the blaze and will continue to monitor the fire. Firefighting aircraft and heavy machinery will be operating in the area throughout the day.

Firefighters may not be able to protect every property. You should not expect a firefighter at your door.

A place of refuge for horses has been opened at Boonah Showgrounds, 8 Melbourne Street.

People in the area will be affected by smoke, including motorists on the Cunningham Highway, which will reduce visibility and air quality.

PREPARE TO LEAVE: Clumber and Moogerah (south of Boonah)bushfire as at 7.35pm Tuesday, November 12.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) advises there is a bushfire in Clumber and Moogerah and conditions could get worse.

Currently as at 7.35pm Tuesday, November 12, a fire is continuing to travel in a north, north-easterly direction towards Wilson Road. The fire is not directly impacting properties along Wilson Road, however this could change quickly and those who haven’t already left, should be ready to leave.

Firefighters are working to contain the blaze and will continue to monitor the fire. Crews will remain on scene throughout the night.

A place of refuge for horses is open at Boonah Showgrounds, 8 Melbourne Street.

At 7.40pm on Tuesday, November 12, a fire is continuing to travel in a north-easterly direction in the vicinity of Merlehan Road, Tarome Road and Logan Lane. The fire is not directly impacting properties, however this could change quickly and those who haven’t already left, should be ready to leave.

Firefighters are working to contain the blaze and will continue to monitor the fire throughout the night.

Firefighters may not be able to protect every property. You should not expect a firefighter at your door.

PREPARE TO LEAVE: Barney View/Palen Creek (Mount Barney fire) bushfire as at 7.35pm on Tuesday, November 12

Bushfire warning level: WATCH AND ACT

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services advises there is a bushfire in Mount Barney National Park and conditions could get worse.

Currently as at 3.45pm, a large, fast moving bushfire is burning in inaccessible land in Mount Barney National Park.

The fire is travelling in a north-easterly direction towards Barney View and Palen Creek. It is likely to impact Barney View, Palen Creek and areas south to the Queensland border.

The Mount Lindsay Highway is currently closed south of Rathdowney. Police are on scene managing traffic.

Those choosing to self-evacuate should travel north towards Rathdowney.

Queensland and New South Wales fire crews are working with firefighting aircraft to control the fire, but firefighters may not be able to protect every property. You should not expect a firefighter at your door.

Gympie area

PREPARE TO LEAVE: Kilkivan bushfire as at 8pm on Tuesday, November 12

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) advises there is a bushfire in Kilkivan and conditions could get worse.

At 8pm, Tuesday, November 12, a large fire is burning in the vicinity of the Des Simpson Memorial, heading in a south-westerly direction towards Thornside Road and Upper Thornside Road. The fire is likely to impact Thornside Road and Upper Thornside Road.

Those residents looking to self-evacuate should travel along Thornside Road onto Upper Widgee Road heading towards Gympie.

Fire crews are working to contain the fire but firefighters may not be able to protect every property. You should not expect a firefighter at your door.

PREPARE TO LEAVE: Black Snake (part of the Kilkivan fire) bushfire as at 8pm on Tuesday, November 12

Bushfire warning level: WATCH AND ACT

Currently as at 8pm, Ta large fire is burning in a south-westerly direction towards Richardson Road, Mengle Road and Mariner Road, Black Snake. The fire is likely to impact Richardson Road, Mengle Road and Mariner Road, Black Snake.

Fire warnings for Yeppoon area

PREPARE TO LEAVE: Adelaide Park (part of the Cobraball/Bungundarra fire) bushfire as at 6pm, Tuesday November 12.

Bushfire warning level: WATCH AND ACT

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) advises there is a bushfire in Adelaide Park and conditions could get worse.

You need to be ready to follow your bushfire survival plan. If you do not have a plan, or intend to leave, you should be ready to leave the area because the situation could get worse quickly.

As at 1.40pm, a slow-moving fire is travelling in an easterly direction between Limestone Creek Road and Adelaide Park Road. Crews have constructed firebreaks between Vaughans Road and Limestone Creek Road.

An evacuation area is located at the basketball courts at Cordingley Street, Yeppoon. Residents self-evacuating should travel in an easterly direction along Adelaide Park Road towards Yeppoon.

PREPARE TO LEAVE: Cobraball/Bungundarra/Maryvale/Lake Marybushfire as at 4pm, Tuesday November 12

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) advises there is a bushfire in Cobraball, Bungundarra, Maryvale and Lake Mary, and conditions could get worse.

You need to be ready to follow your bushfire survival plan. If you do not have a plan, or intend to leave, you should be ready to leave the area because the situation could get worse quickly.

As at 4pm Tuesday, November 12, a slow-moving but dangerous fire is continuing to travel from Cobraball towards Bungundarra, Maryvale and Lake Mary. The fire is still impacting Mount Lizard, east of Evans Road, south of Mapes Road, south of Ingrey Road, east of Serpentine Road and north of Cobraball Road. The fire is expected to have a significant impact on the community.

Fire crews are monitoring containment lines and working to contain the fire. Firefighting aircraft have been operating in the area throughout the day supporting ground crews. Firefighters may not be able to protect every property. You should not expect a firefighter at your door.
