Friday afternoon commuters left stuck in traffic after multiple crashes in Brisbane
Crashes in Brisbane’s north, south and west have caused traffic mayhem for commuters, with a six-car pile-up on a major motorway responsible for the biggest drama.

Two highways and a motorway were left at a crawl this afternoon after multiple crashes caused long delays for people leaving the city
A crash on the Bruce Highway at Murumba Downs caused long delays on the Gateway Motorway from Banyo to the Gympie Arterial Road in Carseldine.

Paramedics were at the scene treating five people at the crash which occurred at 2:15pm.
A crash on the Pacific Motorway southbound at Springwood caused delays back to Rochedale with general Friday afternoon congestion also playing its part.
And a six-vehicle crash on the Ipswich Motoway at Darra blocked the right lane after the Centenary Motorway interchange, causing long delays.
Paramedics attended the scene, treating two stable people at the crash which occurred at 4:48pm.
It has since been cleared.
