Woman, 68, taken to hospital by boat after stinger bite
A 68-YEAR-OLD woman was rushed to hospital by boat after being bitten by an unknown stinger at Platypus Bay on Fraser Island.

A 68-YEAR-OLD woman was rushed to hospital by boat after being bitten by an unknown stinger at Platypus Bay on Fraser Island.
Paramedics were called to the island on Wednesday night after the woman began to experience shortness of breath.
Volunteer Marine Rescue took paramedics to and from the island by boat as access to the area was difficult.
The woman was taken to Hervey Bay Hospital in a stable condition.
