Tributes have flowed for a Fraser Coast dad who died last month.

Ezzard Johnson, 39, died suddenly on October 26, leaving behind five beloved children.

“Ezzard was a very dedicated, well respected, and hardworking team member in council’s concreting team in the Infrastructure Services Department, working out of the Hervey Bay Depot,” Fraser Coast Regional Council director infrastructure services Davendra Naidu said.

“He completed 10 years of service with council this year.

“Ezzard was a kind and approachable person, a quiet achiever who was always willing to help others.

“He loved rugby league and was a keen supporter of the North Queensland Cowboys, enjoyed fishing, and socialising with friends and families.

“Ezzard will be very much missed by his work colleagues in council.

“On behalf of council, I would like to convey our deepest sympathy and condolences to Ezzard’s family and friends.”

On Facebook, dozens of people had sent their condolences to Mr Johnson’s family.

“Sending my love to all of the family at this sad time,” Ange Raguse said.

“Thinking of you all,” Lee Broom wrote.

Mr Johnson’s funeral was held at Hervey Bay Baptist Church at Nikenbah on Wednesday.
