TWENTY-four passengers are safe after tour bus mysteriously caught fire on Fraser Island this morning.
Fraser Explorer Tours Management said the cause of the fire was unknown and a full investigation would be conducted.
The fire was first noticed as the bus was about 1km south of the Maheno shipwreck by the driver.
He saw smoke coming from the engine and evacuated his passengers to safety.
Group general manager David Hay praised his driver's quick thinking and actions and said staff members
would liaise with passengers involved to organise refunds.
