A new $4 million clubhouse has officially opened its doors at a Hervey Bay lifestyle community village, featuring amenities including a swimming pool, library, a sports bar, bowling green and gym.

A new $4 million clubhouse has officially opened its doors at a Hervey Bay lifestyle community village, featuring amenities including a swimming pool, library, a sports bar, bowling green and gym.

Called the Eagle’s Nest, the new clubhouse at Ingenia Communities was opened by Fraser Coast Mayor George Seymour at a ceremony at the village.

The clubhouse was named in honour of the preserved nest of a native bird of prey that remains on site at the community.

Ingenia Communities general manager residential Justin Blumfield said that the official opening of clubhouse after a year under construction marked an exciting milestone for the community and would play a major part in delivering the resort lifestyle the community prided itself on.

“The relaxed bayside lifestyle our community at Hervey Bay offers makes it an increasingly popular option for over 50s – here they can escape the hustle and bustle of the city,” he said.

“We’re continuing to see this trend particularly as older Aussies flock to regional areas like this.”

The clubhouse includes a community lounge, sports bar, kitchen, magnesium swimming pool, library, four rink bowling green, gym, media room and alfresco barbecue area.

“We’ve designed the community to offer a resort-style retirement and the clubhouse allows us to deliver on this beyond the homes and location and really make the most of the lifestyle opportunities of the region,” Mr Blumfield said.

“The clubhouse remains the central feature of our Ingenia Lifestyle communities across Australia and allows us to deliver the health and lifestyle benefits Aussies prioritise during retirement.

Cr Seymour said he was excited to see the completion of the clubhouse after having joined the community at the first sod turning a year ago.

“The Fraser Coast region prides itself on offering an inclusive community and fantastic lifestyle and the addition of the clubhouse at Ingenia Lifestyle Hervey Bay really showcases this,” said Mr Seymour.

“Our goal is to maintain and develop the region’s vibrancy – it’s connection to the local environment and community.
