2. WHALE WATCHING

Hervey Bay is one of the countries top destinations for whale watching so it is no wonder it is your pick as a top tourist attraction on the Fraser Coast. Whether you would like to head out on a whale watching tour or get up close and personal with a whale swim, Hervey Bay is your place.

3. WORLD'S GREATEST PUB FEST

The popular drinking event draws crowds dressing up for a day of fun stopping in at pubs in Maryborough.

4. SEAFOOD FESTIVAL

Hervey Bay is a seafood mecca and this event brings our love for the sea to life with cooking displays, live music and a platter of fresh seafood with something for every taste bud. The popular event is on in August.

The beautiful Hervey Bay Esplanade is a popular spot for tourists and locals alike. Features Wetside for the kids, exercise machines, cafes and shops, beautiful views and caravan parks where you step out onto the beach, the Esplanade has it all.  

6. FINE DINING IN MARYBOROUGH

There are loads of restaurants in the Heritage City. After a big day exploring the rich history of Maryborough, visitors can enjoy their favourite meal at one of the many restaurants including cuisine from all over the world. 

7. FISHING

Hervey Bay has a well-deserved reputation for fishing that most serious anglers would love to explore. There are plenty of opportunities for catching a variety of reef species as well as bream, whiting and flathead.

8. WETSIDE

The popular water park is a hit with the little ones. Water from the park is recycled and there is a cafe and fish and chip shop right next door if you want to grab a coffee or lunch.

Horse-riding is the most popular attraction at Susan River Homestead with over 50 horses to choose from.
