Swimming Australia chief to speak at long lunch on Fraser

SWIMMING Australia chief Kevin Neil will likely be asked why the Aussies performed so poorly at the Olympics when he speaks at the Kingfisher Bay Long Lunch.

WHY did the Australian swimming team perform so poorly at the London Olympics?

That will no doubt be one of the questions put to the chief executive officer of Swimming Australia, Kevin Neil, when he speaks at the Kingfisher Bay Long Lunch on Friday.

Mr Neil will also speak about his decade in charge of the Canberra Raiders when players such as Mal Meninga, Ricky Stuart, Craig Bellamy and Laurie Daley played in the lime green.

While more than 75 people have already booked their seats to hear his address there is still an opportunity to close off the working week with a relaxing afternoon cruising across to Kingfisher for the lunch.

The Hervey Bay Chamber of Commerce has organised the networking event and tickets can be purchased through Sharon Philp by phoning 0428 725 662.
