Relish Food and Wine Festival heads to Maryborough this weekend
With renowned chefs and artists, locally sourced beverages and a variety of food options, the Relish Food and Wine Festival is gearing up for its tenth anniversary in Maryborough this weekend.

A Mountain Top mushroom steak with Diane sauce, garnished with heritage tomatoes and black garlic vinaigrette, BBQ pork chops smothered in cowboy butter, bush fruit salad with native river mint and raspberry yoghurt - These are just some of the recipes to be showcased at the 10th annual Relish Food and Wine Festival in Maryborough.
Held at the city’s Portside Precinct and Queens Park from 10am-5pm Saturday, June 3, the festival will bring food, wine and music to the city centre for a day of unadulterated fun.

Renowned chefs such as television couple Dan and Steph, Alastair McLeod, Kingfisher Resort’s executive sous chef Arpan Sharma and Kym Walker from Blackmans Cultural Indulgence will be running 45-minute cooking demonstrations.
Fraser Coast Tourism and event manager Chelsea Larner-Simpson said the demonstrations would feature recipes designed to showcase fresh, local ingredients and teach people how to cook like a chef at home.

With nine live artists and bands performing all day across the Hyne Timber Main Stage and the Wharf Street Stage, music will also engulf the festival with feel good vibes.
More than 20 different food types will be available to purchase at stalls across the festival, with BBQ, Thai, Mexican and dessert stalls to name a few.
There will also be a variety of wine and beer options, with 10 different wineries and five distilleries which will be stocked into 10 marquees and two temporary beer bars.
“This is a great opportunity for local wineries and distilleries to showcase their products, where otherwise they wouldn’t typically be found in Dan Murphy’s or BWS.”

Tickets are $16 for Adults, online or $21 on the day, and $10.55 for children, teens and pensioners.
Dining and cruise experiences, as well as an art workshop are also available for an extra price, ranging from $25-$200, on top of admission.
