A position exists for a candidate who is practically perfect in every way.

This is after Carmel Murdoch, the woman who faithfully took on the character of Mary Poppins and many other Marys over the decades, retired.

The Fraser Coast Regional Council is seeking to fill the “unique” position.

They will be a gifted storyteller and willing to work with a “magic bag and talking umbrella”.

As the Mary for every occasion takes a well-earned break, the “extremely rare” role is up for grabs.
