A teenage boy has been killed after a single-vehicle crash near Maryborough.

A teenage boy has been killed in a crash near Maryborough on Thursday night.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the fatal single-vehicle traffic crash.

About 6.15pm, a white Kia Cerato was travelling east on Six Mile Road West in Glenorchy when it left the road and crashed into a tree.

The driver and only occupant of the vehicle, a 17-year-old Bundaberg man, died at the scene.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the crash and are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the crash, or who have relevant dashcam vision, to come forward.
