Police investigation Hervey Bay car fire

Police have launched an investigation after a stolen car was destroyed by fire overnight.

Initial investigations suggest the 2008 Holden Colorado was driven to a dirt track along Doolong Road, Wondunna on the Fraser Coast about 6.20pm and set on fire.

It’s understood a second unknown vehicle, a white dual cab ute with a canopy, followed the car to the location and picked up at least one offender, before fleeing west along Doolong Road.
