Police investigating serious assault at Torbanlea

A man has been flown to a Brisbane hospital after suffering serious head injuries following an alleged assault at Torbanlea.
Initial police investigations indicate about 9.15pm, emergency services were called to the intersection of Gympie St and the Bruce Highway following reports of a physical altercation at an unknown location in Torbanlea.
Upon arrival, a 50-year-old Mount Perry man was found with serious head injuries and was initially transported to Hervey Bay Hospital before being flown to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital.
Investigators are appealing to anyone who may have any relevant information or dashcam or CCTV footage to come forward.
Investigations are ongoing.
