A Hervey Bay woman with drug links who refused to give saliva samples four times has been sentenced.
Krystle Geraldine Fleming faced the Hervey Bay Magistrates Court on Thursday, July 31, facing 11 charges from 2023 and 2024.
She pleaded guilty to 10 of those charges including two breaches of Supreme Court bail, one count of possessing property suspected of having been used with the commission of a drug offence, four counts of failing to provide a specimen of saliva, two counts of possessing utensils used to consume drugs and one count of obstructing a police officer.
The court heard Ms Fleming would plead not guilty to one count of possessing property suspected of being proceeds of an offence under the drugs misuse acts from March 9,2024.
It also heard she remained on Supreme Court bail for charges still before the higher court.
Her lawyer, Daniel Ould of Law Essentials, said a brief had already been provided for Ms Fleming’s Supreme Court charges but one would have to be prepared for her not guilty plea.
Magistrate Trinity McGarvie adjourned the matter to September 18, 2025, with a brief of evidence to be submitted by September 11.
Ms Fleming’s bail was enlarged until that time and her appearance will be required on her next court date.
