An indictment presentation is set to be made regarding a man charged over a crash that claimed the life of a teenage girl.
On Tuesday, Guy Sean Leigh Gallagher’s matters were briefly mentioned in the Maryborough Magistrates Court.
The 27-year-old Burua man faces charges including dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death and leaving the scene without obtaining help, driving an uninsured vehicle, not ensuring passengers wear seatbelts, not having L plates displayed, driving unsupervised as a learner driver, using an unregistered vehicle with a cancelled number plate and not wearing a seatbelt.
The crash happened on Albert St in Maryborough about 8.45am on February 19, when a white Ford Falcon hit a power pole.
Welcome Creek’s Chelsea Maddox, 19, was critically injured in the crash and later died in hospital.
The matter was adjourned until May 11.
