Girl, 14, charged over alleged assault at Eli Waters

A 14-year-old girl is set to face court in Hervey Bay after an alleged attack left another person with cuts to their head and face.

Emergency crews have been called to an assault in Eli Waters.

A 14-year-old girl has been arrested and will face court after an alleged assault in Eli Waters.

The incident happened about 4.20pm on Tuesday.

Emergency crews were called to the alleged attack.

A spokeswoman from the Queensland Police Service said a person had suffered cuts to the face, head and arms.

The 14-year-old girl allegedly left the scene but was later arrested and charged with assault occasioning bodily harm.

She was refused police bail and is due to appear in Hervey Bay Children’s Court on Wednesday.

A police spokesman said the alleged victim had been taken to hospital.
