The 13-year-old accused of causing the crash that took the lives of three Fraser Coast women has had his proceedings delayed once again.

The crash on Saltwater Creek Rd on April 30 last year claimed the lives of Reach Church pastor Michale Chandler – a 29-year-old mother and occupational therapist – fellow church member and gifted dancer Kelsie Davies, 17, and 52-year-old nurse Sheree Robertson.

It also left a third Reach Church member Kaylah Behrens injured.

The defendant was due to be arraigned in the Hervey Bay District Court on Thursday morning and is charged with two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle in the night and one count of dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death and grievous bodily harm while excessively speeding.

A card dedicated to Michale Chandler was placed at the Saltwater Creek Rd crash site days after the incident.

He had already been committed for sentence after pleading guilty in the Maryborough Children’s Court on November 28 last year.

He did not appear in person or via camera link during the brief hearing and was represented by Tristan Carlos.

Mr Carlos said the transfer of the case to the Brisbane Children’s Court would “be in the best interest of both parties”.

Crown prosecutor Chris Cook said there was correspondence the arraignment was “for today” and the 13-year-old was to be present in court.

“All that being said the best we can do is April 12 in Brisbane,” Mr Cook said.

Judge Glen Cash ordered the arraignment be transferred to the Brisbane Children’s Court on April 12.

The defendant was remanded in custody.
